The Brightening Bundle
Three products that address hyperpigmentation and uneven tone from three complementary angles — Vitamin C in the morning for antioxidant protection and tyrosinase inhibition, Niacinamide in the evening for melanin transfer inhibition and barrier support, and SPF 50 every morning to prevent the UV exposure that drives new pigmentation. The complete anti-hyperpigmentation protocol in three products.
What Is Included
Vitamin C Brightening Serum
The morning active — the antioxidant and tyrosinase-inhibiting serum applied in the morning as the first treatment step after cleansing. L-ascorbic acid at 15% in a pH 3.0–3.5 base — the specification established by Dr Sheldon Pinnell's research as the formulation that produces the maximum skin penetration and the most consistent brightening results. Stabilised with 1% Vitamin E and 0.5% ferulic acid — the stabilising system that prevents oxidation of the L-ascorbic acid and that also enhances the UV photoprotection of the Vitamin C by approximately double.
The tyrosinase inhibition mechanism of L-ascorbic acid is direct: ascorbic acid reduces the oxidised copper at the active site of tyrosinase, preventing the enzyme from catalysing the conversion of tyrosine to DOPA and DOPA to dopaquinone — the first steps in the melanin synthesis pathway. By blocking this pathway in the morning, when the skin is preparing for the day's UV exposure (the primary trigger for tyrosinase activity), the Vitamin C serum provides the most strategically effective timing for hyperpigmentation prevention and treatment. 30ml airless pump. Made in India.
Niacinamide Pore-Refining Serum
The evening active — the barrier-supporting and melanin-transfer-inhibiting serum applied in the evening as the first treatment step after cleansing. Niacinamide at 10% — the concentration at which all of niacinamide's documented mechanisms are most active: melanin transfer inhibition (the mechanism complementary to Vitamin C's tyrosinase inhibition), sebum regulation, ceramide stimulation for barrier repair, and texture improvement through accelerated cell turnover.
The evening timing is not arbitrary — it is the timing that maximises both the niacinamide's benefit and its compatibility with the morning routine. Applied in the evening, niacinamide works through the night when the skin's repair processes are most active, without the potential interaction with L-ascorbic acid that simultaneous application can cause. The two actives address hyperpigmentation at two different points in the pigmentation process: Vitamin C prevents melanin synthesis (morning), niacinamide prevents the transfer of formed melanin to the surface skin cells where it creates visible pigmentation (evening). Together, they address the full pigmentation pathway more comprehensively than either product used alone. 30ml pump bottle. Made in India.
SPF 50 Daily Sunscreen
The non-negotiable — the product that makes the other two effective. UV exposure is the primary driver of melanin synthesis in the skin — without UV exposure, tyrosinase activity is low and melanin production is minimal. With UV exposure, tyrosinase is activated and melanin is produced as a photoprotective response. Applying brightening actives without SPF is the equivalent of treating a wound while continuing to injure the same area — the actives cannot outpace the ongoing UV-driven pigmentation production.
SPF 50, PA++++ — the tinosorb S and tinosorb M filter system that provides comprehensive UVA and UVB protection with no white cast on any skin tone. The PA++++ rating specifically guarantees UVA protection at the maximum level in the Japanese PA system — UVA is the radiation type most directly responsible for tanning and hyperpigmentation, and the PA rating is the most relevant measure of protection against these concerns. Niacinamide at 5% is included in the sunscreen formula — providing additional protection against UV-induced pigmentation through its melanin-transfer inhibition mechanism during the daytime wearing period. 50ml tube. Made in India.
The Morning-Evening Protocol
The Brightening Bundle is built around a specific morning-evening protocol where each product is used at the time it produces the most benefit:
Morning: Cleanse → Vitamin C Brightening Serum (allow 60 seconds to absorb) → Ceramide Barrier Moisturiser (optional, if using) → SPF 50 Daily Sunscreen. The morning routine provides antioxidant protection (Vitamin C), tyrosinase inhibition (Vitamin C), and UV prevention (SPF 50) — the complete daytime hyperpigmentation management protocol.
Evening: Cleanse → Niacinamide Pore-Refining Serum (allow 60 seconds to absorb) → Ceramide Barrier Moisturiser. The evening routine provides melanin-transfer inhibition (Niacinamide), barrier restoration (Niacinamide's ceramide stimulation), and pore and texture improvement (Niacinamide's sebum regulation). The skin's nighttime repair processes amplify the effect of all topical actives applied in the evening.
Expected Timeline
Visible improvement in skin tone and reduction of existing hyperpigmentation is measurable at eight to twelve weeks of consistent daily use. The protocol requires consistency — missing days significantly reduces the cumulative effect, as both actives require sustained application to shift the melanin production and transfer cycles. The SPF must be applied without fail — a single day of unprotected UV exposure triggers enough melanin production to significantly offset the preceding week's brightening progress.
